In honor of Lance Corporal Juan Rodriguez, the Texas Association of Pawnbrokers awards 4 participating students a chance at 1 of 4 $250 scholarship opportunities.

Juan Rodriguez was a 23yo Marine reservist who was killed in action January 13, 2005 in Iraq. After completing his basic training he went to work for L. Buffalo Pawn in Laredo. His boss and owner of L. Buffalo Pawn, Bob Simpson, remembers him as being the “hardest working, least complaining, and most trustworthy employee”.
